While preserving this historic landmark is important for the community, one of the most exciting aspects of the project is that we have a chance to also contribute to the economic vitality of the area. The Sanford Stud Farm Heritage Center will be a great cultural and educational destination as it brings to life the Sanford’s legacy and the rich traditions that were part of those days.

The Heritage Center will feature educational and interpretive displays which will highlight the extraordinary contributions and achievements of the Sanford family, and the impact they had on the Mohawk Valley. From their prominence as a horse racing empire, to their prominence in carpet manufacturing that put the Mohawk Valley on the map. The Center can be a wonderful destination for people of all ages to learn about life in the Mohawk Valley in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s.
